We like El Gaucho and the French Steakhouse.

Our favorite though is Sunset Grille at the Radisson but they are very pricey compared to the other two mentioned above.

I would put El Gaucho at the top of my list also. I look forward to going there every year. I love the Gaucho steak. It is a great cut of meat with not an ounce of fat or grizzle. I have been to some of the great steakhouses in New York and El Gaucho holds it's own, especially in the value department. In NYC a good steak can run 35-80 depending on the spot. The atmosphere is up in the air. I am not one who dislikes noise and commotion, so for me the food speaks for itself. It does not hurt that El Gaucho is located in my favorite island in the world.

Also, Check out the Garufa Cigar lounge across the street for some pre-dinner drinks and live music. I am going on July 7th and can not wait. Enjoy your meal.

Amazonia for a taste of different cuts of steak...filet mignon, ribeye, house sirloin, etc. They bring 16 different meats to your table to enjoy. Go with a huge appetite. We also liked El Gaucho and Simply FIsh had a nice filet.

Hands down, Sunset Grille at the Radisson. But, as Amy mentioned, very pricey.

El Gaucho IMHO, is quantity over quality, so just depends on what you are after. Sunset Grille is the place for us for beef.

I wouldn't overly suggest eating ANY steak on the island...it's a desert island on which there are no farms at all....that means that you have to import all fruits, veggies and meat....if you HAVE to have steak, go to LaTratoria in Malmock, by the lighthouse (it's $50 for a filet mignon, OUCH, but it's very high quality) or the Amazonia...you'll O.D. on the choices they have of prepared meats, that they bring to your table in a never ending parade because it's a Churascaria (which is where they bring cuts of meat to your table while you have your "green light" on, and you take a piece of about 20 different meats, as much as you want, for as long as you want. This island is about seafood, all the way!
