What do you have in mind?

You can bring food in, but no need - you can get anything you want at the Aruba grocery stores.

I believe you can take anything you want. No issues about fruit, meat, like when you return to the US.

We have had no problems bringing in an entire cooler-full of food for use at our time-share! However, the airlines are charging outrageous amounts to carry this additional checked-in baggage, so right now, it's actually less-costly to purchase whatever we need locally.

It does not cost extra. To countries outside the U.S. it is still 2 bags per person free of charge under 50lbs. I called American Air and it is still free only outside the country and back.

JJ: The cooler was in addition to all our other checked luggage as well as being oversized, and it was NOT free!

Here is American Airlines current per passenger baggage policy to Aruba:

One bag carry-on. No charge. Cannot exceed 45 total inches and 40 pounds.

Two bags checked. No charge. Cannot exceed 62 total inches and 50 pounds each.

The size limitation of your luggage is calculated by adding the total outside dimensions of each bag, that is, length + width + height.

All overweight/oversize baggage at $50.00 each. Maximum of (3) overweight/oversized pieces per passenger. Regardless of size, baggage cannot exceed 70 pounds each.
