All inclusive vs. not

Hey,

My husband and I are traveling to aruba around Christmas time and I wanted to get your advice on whether or not we should stay in an All Inclusive resort? I'm planning on renting a car and we are the type of people that like to explore various restaurants. Are there enough restaurants around aruba that we can go to or should I just book an all inclusive and eat on the resort?

Thanks!

Take it from a fellow Staten Islander, there are enough restaurants on Aruba for a lifetime....lol....we have been visiting for 20 years and have never taken the AI plan.

Many visitors like AI and there are a few good ones however since you specifically said you would like to dine around I recomend you do.

Some of our not to miss places are Driftwood & El Gaucho.

Hello,

There are too many places to try that would be a shame to miss during your stay. There are so many options available on the island. Steak, seafood, dutch, aruban, beachfront etc.

Many people on TA had recommended this site, so I will return the favor:

Enjoy your trip!

DON'T DO IT!!! Too many restaurants to trap yourself into an AI...that would just be a mistake.

If your like a big breakfast and are a heavy drinker of the $8 to $10 bar drinks, then, if the price is right, AI may be to your advantage, However, as said many times, the resturants on the island are great.

We actually stay AI and still go out to eat!! We love to hang at the beach during the day so the drinks and snacks at the resort without having to worry about paying works well for us. We also rent a car and tour all the other beaches as well. This works well for us and we feel we still get enough bang for our buck.
