Will you have a car or do you want walkable restaurants? Of course, even without a car rental, a taxi or bus to many restaurants is very easy. :)

There is a bus stop in front of Costa Linda. RT fare is $2.30pp. Be sure to ask for RT. Ask driver to let you off at supermarket stores- Hong King and Ling and Sons are close to each other. You will be getting close after you pass Tamarijn Resort on the right.

Here are a few restaurant suggestions within walking distance:

Upscale - Screaming Eagle. Exit Costa Linda to where bus stops. Turn left. Follow road for about 10 minutes. Restaurant is on other side of road.

Pizza Bob's for casulal. Located between Costa Linda and Bucuti.

French Steakhouse and Georgio's in Manchebo Beach Hotel. Located on other side of Bucuti.

Matthew's - moderate. Located behind Casa del Mar next to Manchebo..

You will need a taxi or rental car to get to some of the most popular restaurants. They include, but not limited to, Madame Janette's, Passions,

Barefoot, Marandi's, Papiamento & LaTrattoria. There are so many choices. This is just a small sample.

From my experience, renting a car is a good idea when staying at an Eagle Beach resort.

Al Hambra casino is within walking distance - not far at all. The rest of the casinos are mostly in the high rise area of Palm Beach but there are a few in downtown Oranjestad.

In addition to the above mentioned restaurants, there is also Eliottis (which is on the corner of the Costa Linda property).

As for the Alhambra, they have golf carts that will shuttle you to and fro, so if you're not in the mood to walk, you could just hop on one of them.

Not sure when you'll be going to Costa Linda, but they are currently feverishly working on completing their onsite restaurant (fully renovated). Maybe it will be done by then. They have met with many consultants to improve the menu that was once there (and not so great in my opinion). Location will be lovely though as it overlooks the beach.

YES! We did go to Blue Lobster on our last visit. Very, very small place...delicious and reasonably priced food for the quality.

We had dinner at Blue Lobster Saturday night...lobster linquini was excellent (but enough food for a small army!).

Another "why I love Aruba story" -- When dinner was over, we had trouble finding a taxi, so the owner drove us home in his private car!

Nice folks over at the little "Trop" casino near Costa Linda...friendly and fun with some good tunes too!

Mike,

I don't understand above. Do you speak "Jersey"?
