February Honeymoon - Carnival

My wife and I are planning our honeymoon and are thinking about Aruba in February. We've contacted a couple B&Bs and they've mentioned Carnival season. Sounds like it would be really fun to see, but I'm worried about the island being overrun with tourists. Is that a valid concern? Just don't want to get down there and find out that everything we want to do is booked up or crowded. We're looking to have a nice relaxing time.

February is high season in Aruba and is the busy season. There are many who have timeshares during this season as well as new visitors. Many of the main Carnival activities take place in Oranjestad. This year many Carnival activities are during the first two weeks of February.. The third week of February is school vacation week for the Northeast.

Have you chosen where you would like to stay? I hear Bucuti Beach is an ideal place for quiet adult oriented honeymoons .

When in February? Aruba is crowded most of "High Season". Week 7 is a school vacation so it is very crowded with lots of North East people.

Just think how cold it is at home, and how great it is in Aruba.

Have fun

We will be there then
