Recommendations for beachfront suite hotels/condos?

This is our first trip to Aruba and we're looking for beachfront hotel or condo complex that is NOT all inclusive. So far, the only properties that fit the bill seem to be the Marriotts. Typically we've been able to find condo complexes that have resort amenities in the Caribbean, but have not found those in Aruba yet. Traveling with two teens so need the space of a suite and want to be on the beach with sun beds, etc. Marriotts are pricey so before we make that leap, want to see what else is out there. Would appreciate all recommendations for such properties. Thanks in advance!

Depending upon your travel dates you may find some timeshare rentals here - AARP members received discounted rates

Divi Phoenix is a great timeshare property. You can rent from an owner, or book as you would a regular hotel. Another timeshare property is Costa Linda.

Our family of four stayed in two gorgeous rooms with a connecting door at the Radisson last summer and it was perfect. Since we only sleep and shower in the rooms anyway, there was no need for more space The Rad is smack in the middle of the "action" on Palm Beach, has (in my opinion) the best beach, great pools and a sensible palapa policy.

Good luck with your decision and have fun!

Thanks everyone for your input. Next question, how do we find and distinguish timeshare properties vs. single condo owners? The diffetence to us is the security of on sight maintenance and concierge such as we had at a Hyatt timeshare property. Typically I have found condos on flip key, vrbo, home away. Are there listing services for timeshares to rent?

www.redweek.com We have used them a few times and found them to be reliable and safe. You have to pay a yearly fee of $14.99 to have access to the owner's email address to inquire about renting. You can however browse for free.

We also use Redweek, but people also like tug2. Depending on the comples, you will find units for rent on their website ie playalinda.com which is a beautiful timeshare property. For the Divi Phoenix you'd have to check out the Aruba forums or Redweek and tug2. I would point out though that I don't think you'll find the same level of service at the timeshares that you'd get at one of the larger hotels. We have concierge service, but that's not a high priority for instance.
