May is nice and you'll find it easier to get a spot on the beach, a seat in a restaurant, and enjoy your favorite things.

Have a good time!

I agree. We were there last May. We had outstanding weather. Some days we were praying for a little rain to cool is off. Blue sky's, not too crowded. We easily got a palace at both the adult pool (at the Surf Club) or on the beach.

No dinner reservations were really necessary. We made them but found we probably didn't need them.

May is awesome. We have been 7 times in late May. We just got back last night from our first "high season" trip for the holidays. Even though it was busier and there was more traffic and more crowded it was a great trip. TR to follow

Late May or mid October are our normal times to visit. More crowded during the Soul Beach Music Festival which is usually the end of May.

In 26 years of visits in May we have only had one full day of rain. The beaches are even emptier in the low-rise area and the water is calm and inviting. We always make reservations to dine but for the most part it really isn't necessary, unless you want to frequent one of the currently hot eateries.

Last year we went at the end of June with another couple and everything was pretty much the same. Going back the third week in May this year and it can't come soon enough.
