Give Plenty of Time at Airport

We just returned yesterday and it took us almost 4 hours to get to our gate through security and all the checkpoints. Apparently only 5 of the 12 US Customs terminals were operational and the line was out the door and up the hallway - like I've never seen it before. From what I could tell, however, flights were held so no one missed a flight, and the Aruba security/airport staff tried to do their best to keep all the Americans calm and in line. A few of the airport staff said it has never been like that before. Its time for the system to be evaluated - its not working and to have a breakdown on one of the busiest travel weeks of the year is not good for Aruba!

Sequester is coming to a theatre near you March 1st.

What’s the first bad thing that will happen?

My money’s on the airports. So very, very easy to make life miserable at airports.

Trave for the first few weeks after march 1st will be a disaster at best if/when the cuts go thru.
