Wind?

Anyone in Aruba now care to weigh in on the wind situation? We fly down tomorrow, staying at Bucuti...hoping to spend the majority of our week laying on the beach relaxing (aka heaven to the parents of a toddler!)...getting a little nervous hearing everyone talking about the "crazy wind".

Click on above for current conditions on the Tara web cam. You will notice that there is a breeze, but it is not a problem. It would be very hot without the breeze.

Relax....enjoy yourselves and don't stress over things you can't control....and the wind feels good in the heat of the day

Wouldn't worry about it either. I call it a breeze. Our first time to Aruba we stayed at Bucuti. So relaxing there. We had dinner our first night there on their beach.

The Wind is constantly blowing in Aruba. Your resort will probably be able to block some of it. Sometimes there is a stronger Gust that suddenly shows up. If lying on the sand just be prepared to strongly shut your eyes so the sand won't get into them. It is better if you are lying on a chair. Otherwise, the wind will keep you a bit cooler. It's all good. : - )

We flew in yesterday. The wind takes some getting used to. We seemed to be the only ones reacting to it. When it stopped blowing, it was hot. We spent the day on Eagle Beach.

We just got back yesterday. Yes, it's windy! Don't worry, it doesn't hurt anything except your hairdo. :-) Stop at Bed Bath and Beyond and pick up some towel clips. They were very useful.

Watch your rental car doors in the wind! We got a good size ding in the passenger door a couple of years ago, thankfully our credit card company reimbursed us for the bill.

The wind / breeze is your friend. We had a nice gentle breeze every day during our trip but one and that day was brutally hot. Would not have enjoyed the trip if every day was so warm. Enjoy!
