Casinos

I read the other post about the differences in casinos. Do they provide free drinks like in Vegas?

Are we likely to find blackjack tables with $10 (or less) minimum bets?

Thanks!

I sure am! LOL!!!!

Is your name the same over there?

Have we chatted about Aruba on that board?

You know not to go looking for casinos similar to Vegas, right? I've never been to Vegas (yet - it's on my list!) but have been going to Atlantic City for years and the casinos are teeny tiny in comparison! But, they're still super fun. And I love being able to play with $5.00 minimums.

I'm definitely not expecting Vegas . . . I would prefer a more casual, less-crowded atmosphere anyway. But just to have the option would be great. And I read a post where someone said they only found $25 minimum bet tables. Sorry . . . we can't swing that.

Heck . . . I'm content to just get the free drinks. Apparently the new casino in Turks and Caicos doesn't do that -- that's half the reason I enjoy myself! If I'm spending money at the tables, at least the other portion of my entertainment is free!

Omigosh - maybe on a Friday or Saturday night the table mins go up but, otherwise, they're always $5.00/min.

Is this your 1st trip to Aruba?

Minimums depend what casinos you go to. At the Marriott Stellaris we mostly found $25 tables and some $15s. They even had a $100 and a $200! Eeesh.

Just about every other casino along Palm Beach had $5 tables. They were smaller, but much more fun in my opinion. Our favorite was the Radisson in terms of people and atmosphere. The largest casino and most "Vegas" like was the Crystal casino downtown. Their minimums weren't cheap tho - during the day could only find $10 BJ.

The main thing is to have fun! There are 11 casinos (I think) on the island - try a bunch of them and pick your favorite!

Traveling_Dragon - Seriously? I mean, it's been 15 months since I've been there, but I saw nothing that high. Not even on Saturday night. I was playing $5.00 Caribbean Poker on a Friday evening.

I don't play much BlackJack, I wonder if those are higher mins?

YIKES!

What about Let it Ride -- anyone know where I can find that? My husband will be at the blackjack table, but I prefer Let it Ride (and the casino prefers it too, as they get much more money from me!).

We're going for the first time in Sept. Thanks for any input on the casinos...
