Bucuti or Manchebo

We will be traveling to Aruba next year & would like to stay at Eagle Beach.

Could anyone tell us pros & cons of Bucuti & Manchebo?

Thanks!

Beach is virtually the same since they are next to each other. Manchebo will be a couple of hundred dollars cheaper for a week per couple. Bucuti is a nicer resort. Nicer, more modern and spacious rooms.

Pool is nicer at Bucuti as well.

I prefer Bucuti.

We're also looking to travel to Aruba next year for our honeymoon and are leanng towards Bacuti, however I'm a bit turned off by some of thr reviews I've read. ""You'll need to get up at 7:00am to get a front row spot on the beach. We just ran our towels out there and came back to the room for a bit to sleep a little longer."???? Do people actually chair hog here too?

How common is this annoyance??

We are going in 2 weeks, and I'll be sure to let you know when we come back.

That one review you are talking about, imo, was exaggerated. Tony is our resident Bucuti expert, and I'm almost positive he'll tell you that it just isn't true that you have to get up that early. Not on Eagle beach, anyway.

The person writing that review was disappointed in Aruba as an island, so you can see where it would affect his entire trip.

Thank you all for your help. WE are leaning towards the Bucuti, especially since we are empty nesters, and altho I adore children - I prefer vacations without them. :-)

I adore my children, but we leave them home when we go to Aruba. It's OUR vacation! :)

There can only be so many palapas. And only a relative few can be in front closest to the ocean.

It stands to reason that if you really must have one

of the front palapas, you will have to get up pretty early no matter where you stay. Securing a palapa at Bucuti is not a problem. They are spaced well apart and staggered so your view to the ocean will be unobstructd.
