Clarify Divi Resort

Hello everyone-I have been researching a 7 night get away for my adult daughter and myself for Aug. We want a beach holiday. Just come out of my room and be on the beach. Also I dont want all inclusive. We like to have a kitchen. Does the Divi Dutch Village have ocean front studios with kitchens? Also read somewhere that it was a rocky beach and entry into the water was difficult. Can some one clarify this for me.

Thank you

Divi Dutch Village offers studio and 1BR, maybe 2 BR uinits with kitchens, but none are directly on the beach rather they are just steps away as the village is behind the Tamarijn Resort, an AIl Inclusive place that occupies the beach front.

www.endless-vacation-rentals.com/main.taf…

Endless Vacations usually offers Divi timeshares for rent and have over 200,00 resorts worldwide and discounts of 10% for AARP members.

www.diviaruba.com/webmaps/dutch_village.html

You can see Divi Dutch Village on this map by clicking on the links to pop up photos, The Tamarijn Garden suites shown on the map is Divi Dutch Village as Tam also rents them out to their A-I guests but Dutch Village is by itself not A-I.

The beach in front of the various Divi properties is about a mile long and does have some rocky areas but with a short walk you'll find your place in the sun - no doubt.

There are some timeshares which will have kitchen facilities which are directly oceanfront. Aruba Beach Club comes to mind off the top of my head.

There is a photo here picturesofaruba.com/lowrise_divi_dutch_villa… which will give you an idea of the distance between the Dutch Village and the beach. Definitely not a "beachfront" property though it is a short walk, you will not have the view.

Other beachfront timeshares are Casa Del Mar, Costa Linda, Divi Phoenix, Playa Linda, The Aruba Grand (not mandatory AI), and the Marriott's.

Thank you so much to all of you who replied. That clears up a lot of questions I had esp the location of the kitchen studios being behind the Tam. Thank you for the other sites you have mentioned. I will research them and hopefully find something that suites us either at the Divi or another site.

Thank you

blvesea87 - Endless Vacations have availability for August at Divi Dutch Village and at Playa Linda Beach Resort - Playa Linda is a high rise directly on Palm Beach....

www.endless-vacation-rentals.com/main.taf…

These places are timeshares and have kitchens in the units.

bluesea87 - Now that you're set on the resort -

Shopping for food at the large supermarkets is a short walk away. You can stock your kitchen or just add some basic items as you wish .

Also for non- A-I guests the following restaurants are available to you - -

1) Tiki Tiki - located at the vary end of the Dutch Village along the main walkway

2) Mulligan's and Windows - located across the road opposite the Tamarijn Reception at Divi Village

3) Seabreeze - also across the road

Refer to the resort map link I posted above for exact locations and photos

There is a free shuttle running the complex of properties that will take you to the Alhambera casino - behind the casino are more dining options as well as inside the casino.

http://dinearuba.com/default.aspx

DineAruba lists the many restaurants, locations, menus & more in the area and in other areas...

At Dutch Village you will be given a packet of information -

Beach towels are available from housekeeping all day long, return the used towels and pick up fresh ones - as I recall they are located in the units area numbered in the 40's - easy to find.

Also coin laundromat is available on site - good idea to bring a roll of quarters with you.

Enjoy.
