Night Weather...

K', well we're just about packed! 6 more days!! Curious as to the weather at night though? If there's no humidity, how much does it cool off to? Are long pants even neccessary other than on the plane? (I usually freeze on a plane) Are shorts acceptable everywhere, even at night? Help guys!

The only place my husband wore long pants this year was Screaming Eagle and Valentine's Night at LG Smith. At Screaming Eagle, it was kind of quiet and he easily could have gotten away with nice linen shorts.

I remember my friend always had a sweater with her at night, I never needed one. If you get cold, I'd have one just in case.

Nobody gets cold easier than my wife and she never wears pants or a sweater at night Just shorts , sundresses, that kind of thing. Should be a LOW of around 80F each night.

I tend to get cold in some of the restaurants/casinos, so I always bring a lightweight sweater. I have used it a few times. I also wear capris or a sundress when we go out at night. My husband brought a pair of pants on our first trip. They stayed in the closet. He wears nice shorts and a collared shirt everywhere.

My wife likes to bring a sweater to dinner and out to the casino becaus the AC often makes her chilly after spending the day in the sun...

Before I visited I read a lot about how low Aruba's humidity is. It is NOT low. It is sticky. The wind makes the high humidity less noticeable, but the humidity is not low like you would find in Southern California, Arizona or Nevada. Even at night you can get by without a jacket, unless you're inside a restaurant with the a/c pumping.

Thank you for your post! That's exactly what I needed to hear! I compare warm weather to NE summers which are humid, so even at night it can drop down to 75 or so but if the humidity is high, it feels like 90! Southern CA was a perfect example! It is warm there during the day, but I found it to be a little chilly at night even in August, due to the "no" humidity. Especailly after being in the sun all day.

Thanks again!

I agree with Jay, I find that if I have gotten too much sun during the day a light sleeve keeps away the chill from the wind. 13 days and counting.
