Marriott Surf Club - how is the beach?

Hello everoyone,

We are hoping to travel to Aruba for the first time in September and are considering the Marriott Surf Club. How is the beach at the property? Is there a need to rent a car to get to other beaches? I am not sure if it is just one long strip of beach in Aruba?

Thanks!

Read up on some of the attractions in aruba and see which beach area's you would want to visit. A car is a personal preference from what I gather. If you like to be mobile then yes get a car. If you like to go exploring off-road, get a jeep. There are many beach areas around the island that would require a bus or cab or rental car to get to, "if you wanted to see them". As far as the Surf Club goes. We stayed there last August and loved it so much we are returning next August. The beach area will be crowded. However there were a fair amount of lounge chairs near the water to lay on if that is your thing. The Sea water is wonderful with nice soft sand. The waiters will actually bring you a drink right out to the waters edge for you!!!
