1. Re: Car rental

I prefer to rent right at the airport and to return the car there as well. Several choices. We have used Econo for past three years. No problems picking up or returning. With most rental agencies, a lot depends upon the person on duty. We have been lucky so far.

If you want to pre-arrange, contact wheels2go. We used them in July and would rent from them again in a heartbeat. They will meet you at the airport or drop off at your accommodations.

Agree with LORI - Ricky at Wheels2Go is one of the nicest guys in the business. Plus, it is my understanding that they give you a free cell phone (not sure if you have to pay for time) to use - remember to ask for it. Being picked up and transported back to the airport is also a nice convenience.

Use of a cell phone is thrown in at no extra charge. We got a $10 Digicel card at the Valero station and had more than enough talk-time with our kids in the States and around the island.

Lori - Thanks for clarifying the phone matter. Will be renting from RICKY in February/March. Curious - how much time did you get with your $10 Digicel card?

We made two ten-minute calls to our daughter. My sister made one ten-minute call to hers. I also made several calls between our hotels and to restaurants for dinner reservations.

There was credit left when we surrendered all to Anky, too.

Sounds like one of the better $10 investments one can make in ARUBA.

We rental from National and were highly disappointed! The car had 70,000 miles on it and it was horrible! I saw a lot of rental cars from HERTZ that looked new and clean.
