Swimming at Palm Beach/Holiday Inn

I am traveling to the Holiday Inn at Palm Beach next month and I just read a negative review about broken shells and seaweed making the swimming conditions difficult there. Has anyone else found this to be true?

If you are talking about the Holiday Inn Sunspree, then yes there are seashells as you first get into the ocean. Maybe about 3 feet into the water then its very soft sand. I highly suggest buying some of those water shoes to wear into the ocean, then you will be fine. However, I went barefoot and although its a bit painful I didnt have any lacerations or anything.
