Some details would certainly get you better directed responses.

Got any sort of hotel '..budget..' for your proposed visit ??...any personal preferences (large, full-service resort/hotel, small 'cottage colony', etc), priorities (oceanfront, self-catering, etc.) special needs (you've a whalebone peg-leg and your girlfriend always travels with her parrot?)

First visit? Probably an accommodation located in middle of Bermuda(Paget area)would be most advantageous for you, with bus and shopping/dining in nearby Hamilton close.

Check out Hotels & Accommodations link on TripAdvisor main page and look at the different properties.....many to select from, and remember properties vary in size. EX:Coco Reef is a nice smaller sized place, while Elbow Beach is a much larger ....depends what you like. Both are located on nice stretch of South Shore beach and on bus line, which easily links you wherever you want to go for the day.

Have fun!

Just back from Bermuda.. save your money.. go to Playa Del Carmen Mexico.. you will have more fun..

But.. if you are set on Bermuda.. stay at Elbow Beach... We were in Bermuda for 9 nights... We explored most of the beaches.. Elbow Beach is long and beautiful and the hotel is really nice right on teh beach.. if we were going to do it over.. we would stay there over the Fairmont.

Keep spreading the word. The rest of us would really appreciate it. The fewer other tourists on Bermuda during our repeat-visits, the better---easier to book air and hotel reservations, get tables at our favorite restaurants, fewer 'blankets' on 'our' favorite beaches, less 'fug' of coconut-scented sun tan lotion in the air, fewer tourists cluttering up sight lines of the magnificent views (most resident Bermudians have the good grace to be occupied at real jobs, doing real work, generating the tax revenues that helps to keep Bermuda so beautiful, during most weekdays...and on weekends are often busy with household chores that help to keep their homes & gardens so pretty to look at), fewer rental motorscooters sucking up available parking spaces in downtown Hamilton, and less having to overhear mewling '...but everything's so expensive !!..' complaints.
