NOt in the usual sense. Thanksgiving--US or Canadian--aren't national holidays in Bermuda. There were no indians in Bermuda for settlers to steal it from). But given the large numbers of ex-pat Bermudians who return home for the long holiday week-end and US tourists/visitors, many restaurants will offer Thanksgiving '..specials..' on their menus.

If you're searching for a great, moderately priced Thanksgiving dinner...try THE SPOT restaurant-- bermuda.com/r-z/spot-restaurant---a-bermudia… --up on Burnaby (btwn: Reid & Church Sts) for turkey with all the trimmin's. The Spot has fresh roasted turkey on the menu everyday.

In the U.K. the time around the Canadian Thanksgiving in October was called Harvest Festival and usually was connected to the churches. I think that there was something about a Thanksgiving ceremony in the Royal Gazette the other day. Maybe that's what the OP is referring to. Anyway I hope that many of us have much to give thanks for even if it's not on a special day.

Well that's we do. We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in the traditional sense of we get a holiday and it's a big deal. While we don't share the history of where Thanksgiving originated, we see it just as a day to reflect and give thanks for what we have and eat the same food Americans do on the same day. Nothing wrong with that and being thankful. A few other places besides Canada and the U.S. around the world celebrate Thanksgiving as well.

We went to Bermuda over Thanksgiving two years ago and it was great. We arrived on Thanksgiving day and it was quite warm so even though turkey and all the fixings were on the menu everywhere, I didn't feel like eating any. The next day we had a great turkey dinner at the Parakeet and it was quite good. It tasted very nice after a slightly brisk swim at Horseshoe beach.
