Beachfront Villa / cottage with some amenities please

Has anyone had good experiences in finding a beachfront (I.e., leave your door and you're at the beach) villa / house in a resort or developed complex, with a minimum 2 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen? We are looking for a safe area, not necessarily touristy but not completely off the beaten path either. Priorities are beachfront, palapa/cabana availability, cleanliness, mosquito window screens, parking, proximity to some grocery shopping/restaurants...willing to sacrifice all-inclusive for the right place since we hope to do some of our own cooking at least for breakfast & lunch. Resort with private villas / condos / cottages / standalone homes would be great if such exist...thanks!

You could try www.bermudarentals.com Rendezvous Cottage through www.bermudagetaway.com might suit or Grape Bay Cottages. www.grapebaycottagesbermuda.com When were you thinking of going? Do you have any particular budget in mind? Rental cars are not available on the island so proximity to buses and/or ferries will be desirable unless you decide to rent scooters.

Grape Bay cottages- still have to walk 100 yards or so- not much on the island like that- all hilly/walk aways...

Highly recommend Grape Bay Cottages...we went for our first visit to Bermuda back in 2010...and have been back every year since. Fantastic location, very comfortable for two couples. Full kitchen, with grill. The place itself is great, and Maria and Doug are so incredibly welcoming. What you miss out in the amenities of a resort (palapas) is definitely made up by the location and ability to just relax and enjoy yourself!

In addition to GRAPE BAY COTTAGES-- http://www.gbcbermuda.com/ --RENDEVOUS COTTAGE (at Grape Bay beach)-- http://www.bermudagetaway.com/indexGB.html --

Check out '..SAND DOLLAR..' 2 bdrm cottage, located just above the lovely, semi-secluded Marley Beach--

I suppose that the small 'advantage' that 'SAND DOLLAR' enjoys over the other wonderful private cottage properties is that it's a relatively short stroll (100-150 yards) from the cottage out to the main South Road and #7--Hamilton-Via South Shore Beaches-Dockyard bus route bus stop and within easy strolling/walking distance of the SWIZZLE INN-South Shore pub.

The waslk out to the main South Road and bust stop, along Grape Bay Road, will be approx. 1/2 mile....but no problem of course, if you are riding rental motor scooters.

If there is a '..problem..' with any of these lovely little cottages, it is (not surprisingly) their very charm and attraction. They're all VERY POPULAR, with a VERY LOYAL a multi-repeat-visit clientelle....and difficult to book for peak season without as lot of advance notice.
