FANTASEA-- www.fantasea.bm/private-charters/vessels/ --offers a 21', outboard powered pontoon boat, which would serve the western shore and western Great Sound cruising grounds well.

AQUATIC BERMUDA-- www.aquaticbermuda.com/boat_rentals.htm --offers a 23', outboard powered pontoon boat, which would serve the Hamilton Harbour/'Paradise Lake'/Great Sound cruising grounds well.

DREAMCATCHER BOAT RENTALS-- http://dreamcatcherboatrentals.com/boats.html --offers a 23', outboard powered pontoon boat that would also serve the Hamilton Harbour/'Paradise Lake'/Great Sound cruising ground well.

To the best of my knowledge, there are no boat rental operators that offer pontoon boats to service the Castle Harbour/Castle Islands cruising ground.

ALL are good, well-run operations with good equipment. Much depends on the particular 'cruising ground' you wish to explore and enjoy.

The '..western shore..' area (a particular favourite of ours) includes many small beaches and coves that you can nose into to swim, snorkel, fish, picnic, etc....as well as a couple of small islands Palm Island & Morgan Island) near the northern entrance to Ely's Harbour that you can explore....Leave nothing behind but footprints in the sand.

The area known as '..Paradise Lake..' is a very pleasant, small body of water within the Great Sound that's surrounded by several small islands (Long, Nelly's, Ports, Eta) with lots of spots to either nose ashore or anchor to swim, snorkel, fish, picnic, etc....with a couple of small islands to explore....Leave nothing behind but footprints in the sand.

You can get a Boston Whaler from Grotto Bay for Castle Harbour.

There's also Boston Whaler rentals from Somerset Bridge.

Both will only carry four people though.

Where are you staying in island? I highly recommend aquatic Bermuda and Fantasea, they have the same boats, 23 foot power catamarans with stereo and bathroom. No other boats have bathrooms and maybe dream catcher boats have stereos. These boats are very popular and are usually booked weeks in advance so I highly recommend booking asap.
