Getting to Tom Moore' Tavern

Can you get there by bus from St. George. Mainly trying to figure out about reaching the jungle and the Blue Hole. Planning to spend our first day (Monday) in the St. George area and would like to avoid riding the bus to Hamilton if possible. Want to spend day two exploring the south shore beaches which will be closer to the Dockyard. Any suggestions on how to navigate on Monday.

Not a problem. Board any #1 or #3--Saint George's-Hamilton bus at the main Bus terminal in downtown Saint George's. There's a regular bus stop at Tom Moore's Tavern.

For the south shore beaches...take the ORANGE--Saint George's-Dockyard ferry (Monday-thru-Friday only..no weekend service) to DOCKYARD (approx. 45 mins)...then board any #7--Dockyard-Via South Shore Beaches-Hamilton bus for stops at all of the great south shore beaches--Church Bay (approx. 25 mins)...Horseshoe Bay (approx.. 30 mins)...Chaplin Bay/Stonehole Bay (approx. 33 mins)...Warwick Long Bay/Jobson's Cove (approx. 35 mins)...Astwood Cove (approx. 45 mins_ ...Elbow Beach (approx. 50 mins)...or board a '..SPECIAL..'--Dockyard-Horseshoe Bay route bus that makes the 'express' run (no intermediate stops en route) directly between Dockyard and the public bus stop above Horseshoe Bay beach (approx. 28-30 mins). There will be '..take-your-breath-away..' western shore, Great Sound and south shore views all along these bus routes.

To get from airport to Saint George's on your Monday day-of-arrival...simply step outside of the ARRIVAL HALL at the airport and take one of the metered taxis that will be waiting in the rank. If you plan to remain in the historic 'olde towne' of Saint George's on Monday, then your best mode of transportation will be to simply walk.

Nuthin' "..wow.." 'bout it. Figuring out Bermuda's excellent public transportation system--buses and ferries--and using it to get out 'n about Bermuda, from end-to-end and shore-to-shore ain't exactly '..rocket surgery..'. Anyone who can figure out to pass through a revolving door, without benefit of audio-visual aids can do it.

Tale a look at the BERMUDA-Handy Reference map for orientation and relative locations...and the Bus and Ferry route diagrams for the routes they follow...and it begins to make 'sense' even before you arrive.
