Bermuda .. 1st timers ..

My wife and I are going to Bermuda in August and since it's our 1st time we'd appreciate some recommendations.

We prefer a hotel either on a nice beach or close to?

Which are the nice beaches to visit?

What are the romantic restaurants?

Should we rent a car or use public transport?

Can we see most of the island in 3 days? Beaches, snorkeling sites etc ..

>>>We prefer a hotel either on a nice beach or close to?<<<

It would be useful if you provided a bit more detail on personal preferences, priorities, any special needs and proposed hotel BUDGET. Otherwise..as small as Bermuda is, almost any hotel will be at least '..close to..' a beach.

>>>Should we rent a car or use public transport?<<<

There are NO rental cars available in Bermuda. So either rental motor scooter, taxi or public transportations are your options. Bermuda has a genuinely excellent public transportation system--buses and ferries--that will take you to--or near to--almost anywhere you're likely to want to go.

>>>Which are the nice beaches to visit?<<<

Tobacco Bay, Achilles Bay, Saint Caterines Beach, Turtle Bay, John Smith Bay, Elbow Beach, Astwood Cove, Warwick Long Bay, Stonehole Bay, Chaplin Bay, Horseshoe Bay, Church Bay...or damned near any beach in Bermuda.

>>>What are the romantic restaurants?<<<

Lots of pleasant restaurants in Bermuda. Whether any are "..romantic.." will depend entirely on whether of not you bring the 'commodity' to the table with you...or not.

>>>Can we see most of the island in 3 days? Beaches, snorkeling sites etc <<<

Bermuda measures approx. twenty-one square miles of landmass..is approx. twenty-one miles from end-to-end and perhaps three-to-four miles from shore-to-shore. You should be able to see and get a reasonable overview of the place and what there is to do in three days.

You will save a lot of money buy buying a 3 day(or 2-day bus pass), use Taxi if first time to get to hotel/Apartment- too many places to recommend.

They are all nice, and never too far from tons of beaches- research and pick your own- that is part of the fun.
