Best places

Never been to barbados, would love to go January time, but do not know which area would suit us best, we are of mature age, do not like to hire cars, love great beaches, peace and quiet, no jet skis, self catering with nice restaurants and shops within walking distance. Many thanks

Have a look at Blue Orchids or its sister hotel Coral MIst on the South Coast. Very quiet area around these 2 hotels with a variety of restaurants within walking distance. We stayed there last year for first time (we are early 60's and early 70"s in age)and we found it suited us so well we booked for this winter before departure last year.Lovely grounds, smallish beach, nice pools and very clean and friendly spot.Did not find the traffic on the road a problem at all.

We are early in our early 60's and have stayed twice at Coral Mist. We enjoyed our stay very much, the road is busy but the hotel and the beach are quite lovely! You can walk to many restaurants and the Supermarket from the hotel. Check it out, think you would like this place...we loved it!!!

Put "Self catering" in the search box and you'll find pages of information and comments. You can also go to www.barbados.org www.totallybarbados.com or www.barbadosrockleyvacations.com the maps and info pages. all the sites have links to self catering.

If you have not done so already take each one of your questions ex. "restaurant prices" and put it in the search box where you will find pages of information.
