Run Barbados 2010 - will there be traffic diversions

Hi

Run Barbados is the first weekend in December when we are visiting and I had thought about hiring a car for a couple of days.

This might be a stupid question (but this is just coming from a newbie that has her street closed for several hours when a 1/2 marathon goes past).

It looks as if the run(s) get going well before we'd hope to be driving (but we might have European jetlag), but

- would it be best to avoid Bridgetown that Sunday (okay in afternoon?)

- If we are awake ridiculously early (like 4/5am onwards) is there much going on apart from lots of runners?

Two weeks and counting....

I would leave Bridgetown for another day. You could always go up north to St Lucy or east to Bathsheba well out of the way of the runners. They do start early though

They do start early, 5 or 5:30am for the half and full marathon but there is a 10K run on Sat, Dec4th that starts at 4 or 4:30pm in the afternoon.

Thanks for your replies; Bathsheba it is then! Or a day at the hotel.

Good luck to everybody racing
