Cruise stop in May would like a nice beach to go to.

We are in Port for a day in may. We have a party of 6 and would like a nice beach to go to that has chairs, food and drink. Does anyone have any recommendations? The last time we went we went to a beach near the Blue Monkey I believe, but cannot remember the name. That was nice but would like another place and we do not mind taking a cab.

Hi

Blue monkey is now closed, you would have been on Paynes Bay. Carlisle Bay is a beautiful beach not too far in a cab from the port, they have chairs, drinks and food and showers and changing facilities. It is a really wide bay so doesn't feel too busy even with lots of visitors.

You could also try Mullins beach up on the west coast, they rent chairs and have a beach bar, and also Miami/Enterprise is nice on the south coast and again has facilities.

My personal preference would be Carlisle Bay. Have a great trip!
