Hi all,

We have also booked the So-Co hotel for 1 week in November.

Came through from Travel-zoo, sounded so good for the price that 4 of us are going...yey!!

P.S can anybody give me a heads up as to what the scuba diving is like out there, as we've not been to Barbados before

We received the offer too, it said 40 minutes walk along boardwalk in St Lawrence Gap. Hastings beach is very nice, we stayed at Coconut Court on Hastings beach some years back, a bit limiyed on tbars restaurants in that area.

Just a small point- it is not possible to walk down the boardwalk all the way to St Lawrence Gap. It ends at Accra beach about a mile from the gap.

Good morning our SoCool friends. In answer to some of your questions:

We will be tweaking our description slightly regarding the boardwalk - and this will be updated on the Tropical Sky hotel page accordingly. Some of the Tropical Sky team were on site over the weekend and they took a stroll from Coconut Court, past The SoCo Hotel where the boardwalk starts and they walked through to the Gap in about 50 minutes.

There are some great bars close by. Blakeys is just a few minutes walk away, offering great value food and drink and regular live bands and Tapas. A little further along there is a very stylish venue with an excellent menu. There are also several options through to Rockley Beach with Side Shore Restaurant & Bar towards the end.

This is where the boardwalk ends. That's a 30-35 minute walk from The SoCo Hotel and it's then approx 15 mins further walk or a quick cab ride to the very heart of the Gap.

There is also a brand new mall about 5 minutes from The SoCo Hotel featuring a bank, pharmacy, coffee shops, Subway and Haagen Daas shop (which the locals are extremely excited about).

We trust that information helps. Best regards
