I need help..Barbados? Aruba? Curacao? Grenada? St. Martin?

My girlfriend and I are planning a trip to the Caribbean in July, together have been to the Caymans and St. Martin and she has been to Barbados on her own a few times..we're trying to decide which island to try this time? we love to hang out on gorgeous white sand beaches, snorkel, read a book in a hammock with a fruity cocktail, great local cuisine etc..of the islands I listed in the subject box can anybody make some recommendations on the best island for us to visit in July? (keep in mind she has already been to Barbados and we've beeen to St. Martin but really enjoyed it) I'm going to be using miles to fly there and those are the 4 best options that work with our travel dates. Should we try a new island or go back to one we've already been to? I appreciate any advise one of you Caribbean experts would like to give!

My choice would be Barbados as you were not there together and it has all the things you listed.....Barbados is my favorite island second is Antigua...been to Grenada and although it was a nice visit it needs more amenities for my wants. Also liked St. Martin but a little to commercial for a laid back holiday...Aruba if you like the commercial aspect of shops and casinos .all do have sun and beaches..have a great holiday .

I love Barbados, but I also love Curacao for the snorkeling...right off the beach at the Marriott. Nice beach close to town for restaurants.

I would say Aruba I'm in barbados now its great but Aruba is more lively and better food barbados is really nice but I prefer Aruba for many reasons more fun better snorkeling but barbados does have turtles while Aruba has Bette fish to see, barbados has more trees while Aruba is more desert like,,,,Aruba food is better and cheaper IMO

I'm just going say Grenada outright but I'm completely biased being born there. What are you looking for? - if its to relax, then Grenada is much better than Barbados and since you've been there it makes no sense to do it again. Same with St Martin, try something different. Haven't been to Aruba so cant comment on it, but I'm sure its lovely.

Barbados or Grenada tick all your boxes. Depending on which part of St. Martin you go, it would be my third choice. As you're from the US, Aruba would be my last choice. Why bother going there when you could get the same ambience and US chain hotels/restaurants in Miami? If I'm going to the trouble of traveling to another country, I like it to be different from the US.

Grenada is gorgeous, less developed than Barbados, and has a somewhat different feel. An absolutely lovely island. Check out Calabash, Spice Island Beach Resort, or if you really want the old Caribbean flavor, Petite Anse Hotel. Barbados has many properties that would fit your needs, just check through the other forum posts until you see something that interests you, then come back with specific questions.

Actually, the place that best fits your description is Petit St. Vincent, a private island in the Grenadines. Not cheap, and you'd need to connect through Barbados. But a truly immersive and decadent experience.
