SoCo Hotel...looks like all is well now.

Anyone who has been on this board for a couple of years knows of the initial discussion of the SoCo hotel. Delay after delay coupled with less than stellar public relations offered by the booking agents in Britain. More inflammatory words could be used to describe the manner in which booked guests were treated, however, nothing is to be gained to repeat them now. Clearly this venture initially over promised and under delivered, when the better sop is to do the opposite.

In reading reviews on TA, my observation is that the SoCo hotel is loved by their guests. Hopefully their example can be used as a text book case on how NOT to launch a new resort in Barbados, and on how to recover after initially messing up.

I agree fully with your assessment. The SoCo is taking the South Coast by storm and their very experienced owner Ralph Taylor is doing an incredible job there. He has even managed to tap into the Brazillian market as well.

BGIWT, is the SoCo owner the person who is going to temporarily operate the Almond resort on the west coast?

No it is not the same person who is temporarily taking over at ABV.
