There are quite a few people shore fishing around Holetown Beach at the moment . A chap staying with us had his line broken by something big the other day so you never know what you are going to come across . Happy fishing !

What were there using for bait I wonder, spinners, shrimp? I guess I'll just bring an assortment and give it a try, should be fun. Anyone know if a license is required? thanks

You can ask the local fishermen to let you have a bit of bait, they use sprats normally but I don't go fishing personally, I just eat the result !

You don't need a license to fish from the shore here.

Please do let us know once you get back if you've done this. I too am interested in doing this and found a website a while back about a company in Barbados that will rent fishing equipment out to you, delivered to your location and picked up when you're done with it.

This sounded very ideal for me, so I wouldn't need to bring my own stuff. However I can't remember the site. If I find it I'll post it here.
