Does anyone know if I need a yellow fever certificate to get into Bardados from South Africa ?
The CDC does not list South Africans as being required to show proof of yellow fever vaccination to enter Barbados, see this link
but I would check with the Barbadian authorities.
info you need.
the above link from the WHO says travelers to. Barbados do need a certificate of vaccination of yellow fever if coming from a country that does have yellow fever.
So you definitely need to check with the Barbados government to be sure of your requirements.
Yes, but South Africa has no history of yellow fever, so you won't need a certificate unless you are transiting a yellow fever country.
It's best to contact the Barbados High Commission and get the answer directly from the government, that way there is a definitive answer from a competent authority.
Agreed Canby. It's their country, their rules. Go to the source.
There is no risk of yellow fever in Barbados. The Government of Barbados requires proof of yellow fever only if you are arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever. South Africa is not one of these countries :)
