Best Beaches in Barbados

Am thinking about going to the Barbados and would like to know which of the beaches is the best? We'd like to be able to book a room/villa/condo on a nice beach where we can walk to local food spots/restaurants as well as go to clubs/lounges/bars at night. Please help!

Samantha .

This is one that's going to open up the south v west dispute . We have stayed on both coasts , but I think from what you are asking for the St Lawrence Gap / Dover beach area would be ideal. . There are loads of bars / restaurants on your doorstep . It's all down to budget . There are some very reasonable priced hotels - probably starting at - Time out at the gap , Rostrevor , South Gap hotel , YellowBird , The Divi , Southern Palms , and Ocean Two .

There are also loads of Apts / villas on Owners direct .

I think the beach next to the Hilton is one of the best.

Here is a link to property on the generally calmer seas side of the Island . Much to do at night in and around Holetown and beautiful beaches abound.

Should none of these properties fit the bill, have a look at Tropical Escape which has studio rooms on the beach but tends to be a little more expensive than some, as it is officially a hotel even though it is self catering.
