Barbados - Feb 6th

We have one day in Barbados - any suggestions? We have one to take a taxi around the island. Any one have any ideas. Would love to go deep sea fishing - can afford the whole boat only 2 of us. Are there boats at the port if we wanted to join someone else on a fishing trip?

Hi there, there are no boats at the Bridgetown Port to join someone on a fishing expedition unfortunately. There are however some at the Shallow Draught and the Barbados Yacht Club which you could look into.

My suggestion would be to check out the tops sites on the island since you're only here for one day.

For things to do in Barbados:

Visit Harrison's Cave

Visit Hunte's Gardens

Take a dive on the Atlantis Submarine

Visit the Barbados Wildlife Reserve

Visit St Nicholas Abbey and sample some of their legendary rum and tour the historic house

Take a Catamaran Cruise on Cool Runnings

Visit Cherry Tree Hill for breath-taking views of the island

Visit Hackleton's Cliff for breath-taking views of the island

Visit St. John's Parish Church

Gun Hill Signal Station is also fantastic

Do take a look at www.totallybarbados.com where you will find a wealth of quality and up-to-date information on the island.

Hope this helps.

Regards

The links just below are to websites for deep sea fishing. If you contact them they should be able to give you some information. Two factors will influence avaiability, one is their departure with other clients and your return time to get to the ship. Some boats do two outings a day, one morning one after lunch.
