both US and BDS dollars are accepted everywhere. I think you get a better exchange rate for Barbados if you change your sterling there rather than here before you go. It really doesn't matter which currency you choose.

I always take US. It means if I have any left I can spend them in other places in the world. You can only spend Barbados $ in Barbados. You can take a small amount of Bar$ and remember all your change will be in Bar$.

There have been many posts on this subject, just type in currecy exchange and you'll find all the info you want.

Basically do not waste your time with exchanging your money for anything else. Bring your currency and change it at the bank and you'll get the best rate without doing a double exchange. You can also use your debit card, credit card and bank card for withdrawls at preferential rates. Just check with your bank for charges etc.

You can change a few pounds in the airport for the taxt if you need funds.

Yes as stated above you can change sterling into BDS. Of course the rates fluctuate every day, so for 1 pound you will get anywhere from $3.80 - $3.99 BDS.
