Morning Walk

We like to walk four miles or so in the morning. Staying at the TB hotel. Question is since being so close to the Gap is that where we will do our walking and is if possible to walk four miles of beach or do the other resorts have exclusive righ a ways to the beach.

All the beaches in Barbados are public so there's no problem walking along them. However I don't think any of the beaches in Barbados are 4 miles long and Dover beach certainly isn't. You could walk along Dover beach and then continue walking down to the end of the Gap and back - that might be about 4 miles.

We love our morning walks and from where you are staying it is a nice long walk to Miami Beach (head towards Oistins). There and back would take about 2 hours (I think, never really timed it). Or go in the other direction towards Rockley beach, from there you can get onto the Boardwalk. You will have to go on the road for any walk but can get onto the beaches at some places for a little while. We have even walked from near TB to Carlisle Bay but usually catch the bus back.

If you get yourself over to the new boardwalk in Barbados along the south coast you should be able to get a good walk in.

It’s gorgeous! It runs 1.2 kilometer from Hastings in Christ Church to Rockley/Accra Beach on the south coast. This gets you away from traffic. You may need to walk back and forth a couple of times in order to get your 4 miles in, but everyone seems to love it.

Hi, We stayed in the Gap, we caught a bus to the far end of Carlisle Bay, walked back towards the Yacht Club, back onto road and go down Aquatic Gap back to beach, walk along to the Hilton, pathway at the side, you can then walk along the beach all the way to Rockley Beach. Either bus back or walk on the road a short while until you reach Sandy Beach then you're almost back at the Gap. Not a full stretch but an enjoyable long walk. No hotel has exclusive right to the beaches unless no other access than through the property - usually only tiny beaches. Enjoy!
