Hope you have a good time - The Fisherman's Pub in Speightstown is an ideal place to start for good quality fair priced local food. Nicholas Abbey is a nice place to visit for the afternoon with an insight into bygone days on a Plantation. Bring pounds with you the banks will give you a better exchange rate than at home. Barbados is a safe all year round holiday destination and don't worry if you get lost someone will always put you right.

Think about taking a course of anti-histamines before you come just in case you get bitten!! Foul Bay and Bath are beautiful beaches as long as you have a good navigator. If you have anymore questions email me on bonwell@post.com

Are you staying at Sandrige by any chance? you will love Barbados totally different from Europe. It is a little like England the churches and countryside and the nicest people(dont mean we English are the nicest you can meet) you can ever meet. We loved the island jeep safari, and the Roots & Rytham evening, hire a car and take a look at the East Coast around Bottom Bay and the Crane you will have no problems driving. You could hire a taxi for the day and see everything from a local's eye. Visit the Fisherman's pub for an authentic Bajan meal and entertainment. The best trip we did was the Grenadines absolutely wonderful these islands are magical and worth every penny the sort that dreams are built on. Have a wonderful holiday and let us know what you did and what you thought of Barbados and when you are planning to return.

I'm sure you'll love Sandridge, my suggestion is (depending on ability!) beach walking-- turn left at the beach & keep on going,BUT remember you have to come back!
