Itinerary suggestions

Hi all

I am looking to book a honeymoon in March 2014 to Cuba. We have been to Cuba before and loved it, but only went to Havana and Varadero. We are now looking to do:

3 days in Havana

2 days in Cienfuegos

3 days in Trinidad

8-10 days in Cayo coco

What is there to do in Cienfuegos/ Trinidad/ Cayo coco? Are they all worth a visit do you think?

Any suggestions for alternative locations are welcomed!

Thanks

Why 8-10 days in Cayo Coco? I'd be bored..

Just for a bit of relaxation after the wedding planning etc :)

We went to varadero for 10 days, and that got a bit boring mind...! But we thought a week would be ok in an all inc resort

It will be even more boring staying 10 days in Cayo Coco. At least Varadero you will find stuff to do in the downtown area IMO

Unless you want a completely quiet holiday to simply veg-out on the beach then forget the expense/hassle of getting to Cayo Coco and stick with the west end of the island.

Doing Havana/Trinidad/Vinales gives you a crazy big city, small colonial town and countryside. If you want to hit the beach then do Playa Ancon outside of Trinidad or the coast just north of Vinales.

All three areas have great tourists infrastructure, the casas (Cuban version of a B & B) and paladars (private restaurants) in Trinidad and Vinales are great.

My two centavos...

Have fun.

Cheers,

Terry

If I were you I would add days to your visit in Havana and or have a few days in Vinales as Martian mentioned, and stay for about 7 in Varadero.
