Where are you flying from? Which airline? Package deal or flight only?

Cheers,

If you are a Canadian citizen it will likely be handed out on the aircraft. If you are from the UK and flying with Virgin Atlantic you will need to apply yourself for the tourist card.

Thomas Cook and Thomson both send out the tourist cards by post two to three weeks before flying, but this is not the case with Virgin Atlantic.

Hello, my partner and I are planning a trip to Cuba via a stop over in Canada for Xmas . I understand you need to obtain a tourist card at the Cuban embassy prior to departure. Anyone has gone through this process recently and can advise? I.e. application, cost, waiting time etc. any advice would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Apologies, I meant add that we are flying from London Uk and I was referring to the Cuban embassy in London. Also, anyone can suggest a travel agency in London that specialises in travel to Cuba? Thank you.

How are you getting to Cuba?

If you are on a canadian flight then they give the cards out on the way down.

We haven't booked a flight as yet, but most probably will fly with Air Canada. If they give cards on the way down, do you pay for the visa on arrival? I thought you had to have it prior to leaving the uk?

The tourist card is not a visa, all canadian flights the card is in the costing so I believe.

Air Canada or any other Canadian Company which ever you choose to fly with when flying out of Canada will give you your tourist card on the plane .

And yes its included on your plane fare ...

diva - strictly the tourist card is a type of visa - that is why it has VISA in large letters on it.

Hana - with scheduled flights from Europe, you have to get the tourist card separately before boarding. With most chartered flights and scheduled flights from Canada, it is included in the price.
