No class, all crass

Received an email from a dear friend of mine who owns a Casa with a beautiful courtyard. She said two people who had read about her place on TA walked in, plopped down in the rocking chairs, went in their backpack, asked for a couple of glasses, and proceeded, over the next couple of hours, to drink 6 beer and a small bottle of rum with cans of TuKola they had in their bag. Thinking they were going to order food, my friend said nothing. Then, to her astonishment, they got up and left. Didn't eat, didn't order a drink, nothing. Left their full ashtray and empties behind. Would you walk into a B &B in your home town, bring your own booze, sit at their table all afternoon and leave? Casas are not bars. You give a new definition to the word "Yuma"

That is disgraceful. How could people have the nerve to do that.

Well it wasn't us Candy - we don't smoke and actually booked a room - assuming we are talking about the same Gibara casa!

Unfortunately it does not surprise me. It is a whole new world now.

It's sounds like your friend has a good heart.

Please tell her to forget about these low life clowns.

There is still lot's of good people left.

I do have to admit tho the look on her face would have been something to see.

How were things, Fidel?

On the same day the ignoramusses were there, someone stole her bike. And ratwalto, you would NOT want to see the look on her face. She has a terrible fury and you can tell by the tightness in her style when she is about to go ballistic like only Cuban women can do

Good mate. 2 nights there. When/if I finally do some sort of trip report of our 3 months away I was going to acknowledge your input to the Gibara part!

Was very pleased to see how the town has recovered since our last visit post hurricane.

Candy, can you imagine the scenario if I had been there?! (Or you?!)

The whole town would have been laughing over those fireworks for weeks... haha...

Terry

I have seen the look and felt the fury.

I have also seen the ballistic part.

Fortunately it was not directed towards me.

Your friend showed great restraint.

On the other hand if your friend did go off on them it would be what they deserved.

I meant no disrespect.

Candy, we will just have to add a few notches (lines) in the drink book when we are there to make up for stupid people.

Too bad someone hadn't taken a pic of those bozos. A little publicity on YouTube etc. might ensure an appropriate greeting at their next destination.
