weddings

me and my fiance are planning to get married down south and are in the mix of deciding on which resort. Does anyone have any information on places with wedding information, as far as what is offered as a package and the prices? We are leaning towards the iberostar E or Eurostars in cayo santa maria. Oceans or riu in varadero those are the ones our travel agent is getting trip prices on for us but i cant seem to find much on wedding packages offered and prices for that! Has anyone been married at any that may have the info from the wedding cooridinator or know someone who has been married there that has the info? Any help would be great in helping us decide!

Iberostar varadero is a great place for a wedding, I believe that they have a Facebook page for this

If you want to go to Cayo Santa Maria, then I think the best option is Melia Las Dunas. They specialise in it. Look at the Facebook page from previous brides, also discussions about it on Trip Advisor. same goes for Playa Pesquero in Holguin.

Eurostars has had some bad food reviews. I would drop that from your list. You do not want to be on the toilet for your honeymoon.

Hello, I am in the process of planning my wedding at Eurostars this November, 2014. We went there last November and loved it! Not sure if November is too late but I can let you know how ours went with planning and stuff....

I've been looking at the legal requirements for a wedding in Cuba, and although it sounds lovely it also sounds like a total pain in the butt! Would probably be easier to do the legal stuff at home and just have the ceremonial part done in Cuba.

I have thought of both ways and looked into it a lot. The legal requierments to get married their if you were never previously married only require you to have your passport and birth certificate. When you get your marriage certificate you just have to get it translated. I guess there kinda is pros and cons of both. Pros being one anniversary date and having a legal wedding in front of your guests paying to come share that with you etc. cons are pretty much the opposite. Which I think is my main reason for choosing to get legally married in Cuba.
