Hey everyone,

I am planning to visit Cuba, but I am a bit confused with traveling visa or travel card. I am from Latvia (European Union), and I couldn't find where and how to make visa on my own without using any travel agencies etc. I found this website ( http://www.cubavisas.com/visa.php?act=tcform&flight=yes&accom=no ), where it is written that visa can be purchased through them. However, I don't know, how legit is this page and whether the travel card (visa) will be valid.

Have you had any experience in this regard?

Thank you,

Cuba

That site is completely legit.

The confusion is people call it a visa.

That implies a visa via consulate.

It is A tourist card/ visa.

As far as I know as a European you will be ok with that tourist card from that fast and reliable service.

100% legitimate. I often recommend this site for people travelling from Europe to Cuba who do not have the visa included in their package price.

I used it just recently and the visa came very quickly.

Only negative thing is that they charged me in DK currency which is slightly more expensive for me than the listed price in sterling.

Thank you for responses! One more question - if I am travelling to Cuba through USA, this travel card cannot be used? Should I purchase travel card in USA?

leva - exactly - if flying direct from the US to Cuba, you should buy the tourist card from the airline or the agency which they appoint.

Ieva D:

beardo is quite correct. Do NOT purchase the tourist card in that case from cubavisas.com as it will not be accepted.
