Is it best to take Sterling or travellers cheques from England . Can credit or Debit carda be used

Sterling all the way. Credit and debit cards can be used as long as they are not affiliated to any American Bank

Cash is king in Cuba,but saying that I always pay for trips with my Post Office credit card which is accepted and also it doesn't charge you for using it abroad (worth getting one if you still have time).Make sure that all your sterling notes are not defaced in any way ie. ripped/torn or written on as they will not be accepted.
