Weather This Week

We are heading to the Oasis Brisas this Friday. Looks like the weather is going to get much cooler.

Never been to Cuba, Do we need to bring long pants and sweaters?

Thank you

You'll need long pants (men anyway) for a la carte restaurants and yes, a sweater for the evening is always a good idea this time of year. Don't worry too much about forcast - we've gone with 'negative' forcasts and had a wonderful sunny week. We've also been in cuba when it's a bit cooler; pants at nite and a light sweater should do for warm clothes.

BobcygeonGandG, when you say long pants for the a la cartes, do jeans qualify as long pants? I would have no trouble slipping into a pair of casual dress pants myself, but our teenage boys don't own anything like that at the moment. They're growing so fast that it's all we can do to keep them in jeans that fit properly these days.

Jeans are considered to be dressed clothes by Cubans. You can wear them not problem at the a la carte.

Dress clothes are not required at Brisas or Caracol as Cuba Carol indicated.... Senor Gil wears shorts for dinner 99percent of the time... occassionally for the a la carte long pants. Don't go out and buy dress clothes for the kids.

Thanks guys & gals! You've made our boys very happy! lol

Sorry to highjack your thread baileydottisaydie...but one thing always tends to lead to another. Interesting question about the dress code for the a la cartes in Santa Lucia...can't say I've ever read anything else about this. Thanks for the heads-up!
