Another Hurricane coming on Sunday!

Come on mother nature. Give poor Cuba a break!

Hopefully this one won't be as bad.

Yikes, that is when I am suppose to be flying into Varadero, any concern (its currently a tropical depression).

They won't fly into a hurricane will they? (Which then Begs the question of what then?)

I have just called Virgin as we are due to fly on on Sunday and they don't know anything about it. Is it likely to be serious?

It has been upgraded from a tropical depression to Tropical Storm Paloma as it's top sustaioned winds have reached 39mph.

The hurricane center's official forecast called for it to become a hurricane, with sustained winds of at least 75 mph, in two days.

The Atlantic season, which runs from June 1 to November 30, has seen seven hurricanes and eight tropical storms

Two models called for it to reach "major" hurricane strength, Category 3 on the five-step Saffir-Simpson scale, with sustained winds of at least 111 mph, before hitting Cuba, while another did not even take it to hurricane status.

Let's just hope that the latter proves to be true.

So its currently forecasted to be about H1-H2 strength as it passes over Cuba which is not as bad as earlier prediction of a H3, and that it will only hit cuba for about 1 day (vs 2).
