We leave in 1 1/2 sleeps! Hope you had a good trip. A couple of questions:

1. No more lobster at the a la cartes?

2. Any recommendations re: best a la cartes?

3. How were the bugs?

we had a wonderful trip thank you !!

Never had the lobster , we had full intentions but only heard negative comments so we optted not too. Really , you can't beat a good ole maritime lobster!! I believe the nolitours has a lobster night, wednesday maybe ?

The Japanese a la carte was the best. Cuban, French, Italien, and Steakhouse were also good . Play it safe , beef is not a good choice. it tastes good but generally tough. Chicken and pork has always been a safe choice for us !!

We did not encounter bugs/mosquitos but our room was away from the beach, so "sandbugs" were not an issue. At night we sat out at the theatre and up at the lobby area, again no bugs !! only one out of 9 of us got bites ..

Hope this helps , ENJOY YOUR VACATION !!!

How many a la cartes were you able to get? Did you hear of anyone emailing the resort in advance to book them? Was there jam in the buffet for breakfast? Where was the lobster?

we def emailed for our 2 a la cartes before we went. we were also in a wedding party so we got extra a la cartes . plus you can just show up at rest. and if room they will take you and you can also see the girls at days end(430) and see whats avail for that evening...we were able to do all a la cartes except for the last night.

lobster was at diff resturants around town plus on our excursion. and at the medit. rest. which is only open on the weekends , we did not go to this one.

there was jam and/or marmalade at brekfast, the rolls are amazing !!!

hope this helps.....enjoy your stay here ...

We just returned from SLS and although lobster was available last year at the mediterranean,it's not available this year. The Nolitours had a bbq wed night but there wasn't any lobster there.I believe Wed night they have an a la carte for 24 pesos at the gourmet that serves lobster.

Wireless in room LOL your in Cuba not in North America not even on the lobby so leave your laptop at home as they have 3 or 4 computers on the resort close to the buffet which you will have to buy a card for 10 CUC for 1 hour .
