Packing?

My husband and I are staying at the Sandals Hicacos at the end of February and I have a few packing questions!

1) Do I need to pack bug spray?

2) Should I pack an electrical converter?

3) Are there hair dyers in the room?

4) Should I pack shoes to wear in the water to swim with (water shoes)?

Any other advice packing advice would be appreciated!! Thanks!!!

Spa_Girl -

You lucky girl! We returned from SRH a few days ago. No bug spray needed at the end of January, but I don't know about February. I always carry a small trial size bottle just in case.

There is an electrical converter supplied in each room - you'll find it in the closet on top of the safe. You may, however, need an adaptor depending on the outlet of the appliance you are using.

A hair dryer is supplied...it's not perfect, but gets the job done (and I have an acre of hair...)

Aqua shoes are not a bad idea, as there were several Man-O-War washed ashore when we were there, and you REALLY don't want to step on one of those.

Anything else??

Have fun.

We've been lucky to be bite free so far, but I saw one lady with terrible bites. I take the travel size bug spray and afterbite as well. Like Windsor said, it's better to have it and not need it :)

you don't really need water shoes in Varadero

you should bring bug spray - to not have it and need it is not a great situation. Some people have problems with the bugs, some don't.
