Sandals Royal Hicacos, Varadero

Hello,

I am thinking of booking this hotel tomorrow... I am wondering if anyone upgraded when they got to the hotel and what kind of price they paid to upgrade rooms.

Also any good excursions to go on. We are going to go to Havana for 3 nights first then onto Sandals Hicacos.

Many thanks

Erica, HI! - we've been to SRH three times (we got married there!)

Been to La Habana twice...

Recommend that you do the "concierge" upgrade if you can afford it... mini-bar restocked daily... Select check-in, easy bookings for tthe ala carte restaurants... managers's concierge cocktail party..

Where are you staying in La Habana?

Excursions? - Do the catamaran from Varadero, Try the excursion to Cienfuegos for the Dolphins, DON'T do the dolphins in Varadero...

DO the Tropicana in Havana, NOT Varadero...

Any specifics, please feel free to PM me...

Hi, we stayed at SRH last april for a week, we had a premium suite, this room type offered the mini bar stocked daily. The concierge pool was very quiet, people lounging and reading, we made reservations for a la carte at a public relations booth, and had no problems getting times and days we wanted. Personally I wouldnt pay for concierge, but would upgrade to premium. We had an awesome, relaxing week in paradise. Enjoy
