Theft in Cuba

going to Santiago de Cuba in 2 weeks.I was told not to bring my acoustic bass guitar or my netbook. Does anyone know the dimensions of the safe? My net book is only 8"long. And could I keep my instrument at the desk when I'm out of my room?.

Why post in the Varadero section if you are going to Santiago.

No-one can answer about the size of the safe if you don't say which hotel.

It's amazing what you can pack into those room safes. We've had a huge purse, a Nikon DSLR, three iPads, my wallet, our phones, and all travel documents packed in with room to spare.

I always manage to get my beach lounger & chair in the room safe.

I have to leave the passport, tickets & cash in a sock in the suitcase though.
