Packmasters! How would you pack potato chips?

Not of the Stax/Pringles variety. I like me some regular potato chips and usually just buy them when I'm on vacation (in Mexico it's no problem) but I seem to recall that the Pringles-type are the ones available.

How would you pack a couple of bags of chips without them getting squished?

Huh. Not a bad idea!

I wonder if they'd stay fresh if I de-bagged them and put them in one of those shoebox-sized Ziploc containers...

Poke a hole in the bag, deflate to the appropriate size for the shoebox, reseal with a piece of tape.

And no, I've never done this before. Well, not entirely true, I did this on a canoe trip once. Man they were good on day 7. :)

Never deflate the bag, they will get stale. The air in the bag will actually keep the bag firm. Buy ripples they're stronger. leave them in the original container.

Lock n lock containers! Nice airtight seal, they're light but really durable and come in tons of different sizes. Husband uses one to take cigars on road trips with a mini humidor pack, works like a charm! Would be way better than a shoebox for keeping them fresh!

We store the kids goldfish crackers in them for travel, they stay nice and crunchy!
