May thundershowers

Howdy, we will be in Varadero mid may, the long range weather forecast is calling for thundershowers most of the days we will be there.

I realize it is hard to predict weather patterns etc.

But, I will ask anyways LOL. On average are these the type of thundershowers that go on all day? or will it rain for a short period of time each day and that is it.

thanks much, Steve

Hey Steve

Likely these showers will last briefly but could be heavy, or not at all. Be surprised if you got through the week without a good afternoon/early evening downpour.

Cheers

May is the changeover from "dry" to "rainy" season - but the change is gradual. As they say, most likely will be short bouts of rain in the afternoons.

We just returned last night from Ib. Tainos and we had a heavy rain / winds for about 2 hours one evening. Next day was hot and sunny. You should expect some rain since it's moving into the rainy season now. It won't slow down your fun!
