Spent the morning just relaxing on the veranda, drinking coffee, and working on reducing the perishable grocery supplies down. Seems we always buy too much, and hate to throw stuff away, although the cleaning ladies are always happy to take some of the leftovers off our hands. Bet they each have 80 jars of mustard and mayo.
In the afternoon, went to Blue Bay beach for some sun and fun. Wasn't crowded at all. Hint, the late fall is a great time to come here if you want to avoid the crowds. Second hint, If y'all haven't noticed, we avoid full-day beach days...the sun is just so intense that even with number 55 sunscreen and frequent applications you come away like a well-done steak.
Also did our late afternoon routine...an hour at the pool, which is partially shaded by then, followed by wine and cheese and watching the sunset on the veranda, showers to wash away the day, and head to town for an 8:00 dinner. Don't know why, but for some reason Caribbean sunsets are just spectacular. This day I our dinner reservation was the Wine Cellar, in our opinion the very best restaurant in Curacao, and a world-class place. It's no wonder that they get the rave reviews they get...food is superb as well as decor and service. If you want a special night out, this is the place to go.
In the countdown mode now...days have flown by and only 2-1/2 days to go. :-(
